Dress rehearsal
All over America right now, little girls (and a few boys) are performing in their annual ballet recitals. In ours, the big girls (top) are doing a very ambitious production of Coppelia - the oldest girls danced en pointe and one even had a pas de deux with a boy. In the top photo the bigger girls are transforming the younger ones from dolls back into little girls. (My 7-year-old is in the middle of the whole group.) The bottom picture is the preballet class - the 3 and 4 year olds. (Mine's on the left, in the purple sparkly tutu.) Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of her waving at me when she was about to do her twirl!
