Hotchkiss Library

Sharon CT Hotchkiss Library
The library in Sharon is gorgeous inside and out. There are steep narrow stairways and a balcony all around a central atrium (I'm sure there's a better word for it!) and beautiful woodwork everywhere. In this shot you can see just about the entire building. (There are a few side rooms for meetings and quiet activities.) I wrote about it a few months ago when I posted this picture of the outside.

Now that's what I call a public library! And it has books in it!! Seriously, no sarcasm intended. I know exactly what I am comparing it with.

This is a fantastic library! I could spend days in here! Yup, i agree with Miles. It looks like it has books worth reading. I live next to the National Library and I can tell you, it's a sorry excuse for a library.

A library offers a window to the world. This is a well-appointed and warm library!
