Into the distance

If the lake were frozen and there were skaters on it, I'd say it was a Grandma Moses painting. Or am I thinking of Winslow Homer (then it would need a fox.) Any other suggestions?

Oh, and Go Tigers!
You who spent all summer yelling about the world cup - be patient with me! It's been 22 years since the Detroit Tigers made it to the World Series. Tomorrow I'll tell a story or two about them. (It's probably a good thing for me that the Mets didn't make it too - that could have caused some marital disharmony, since my husband grew up in Queens, home of the Mets!)

I agree with Eric, this is really gorgeous. I hope you don't mind that I will now look at it throughout the Fall as my desktop wallpaper. Thank you.

Sorry, Sally - it's a baseball team! Michael, of course I'm incredibly flattered - you live in PARIS and you want to look at my picture? I have my favorite photos of Paris next to my desk to look at every day!

beautiful photo! - I hope Detriot wins - they have gone through some difficult times these last couple of years - it would be great to give the people some inspiration and excitement - glad no disharmony came about =)

I remember listening to the tiger games in 84, driving around the suburbs of Detroit wondering when they would finally loose! On another note, how about them Lions! JJ & the morning crew from WRIF did a great parody of them in the same time frame to the tune of Queen's "Another one bytes the dust". Their version went "Another one comes, another one comes, and another one kicks our butts". Ah being a sports fan in Detroit is tough :)

Nice shot BTW! I am partial to landscapes (if you didn’t notice)
