Evening Walk IV

Or V, or VI... not sure how many times I've taken a walk through Sharon near sunset. I'd never noticed these ponds before, though I'm sure I've passed them often. But the light was hitting them just right, and the leafless branches revealed what was perhaps hidden earlier in the year. (For the curious locals, this is on Rhynus Road, less than 200 yards from Gay Street.)

If you had to review the whole year and pick just one picture that captures each of the seasons in Sharon, wouldn't you pick this one for winter (even though technically, until tomorrow, it is still autumn)? For me, it says it all perfectly, eloquently. The cold, the sun at its most distant low and nature dormant is in every grain of the image.
