The Holiday Season has officially begun
The Sharon Tree Lighting happens on the first Saturday of December. The Salisbury Marching Band and Hot Chocolate Society plays carols and Liz of the Historical Society leads everyone in singing, the creche is set up, and the tree, which must be 100 feet tall, is festooned in lights. Best of all, we see our friends and neighbors all together. 2 days ago it would have been a pleasant but untraditional event - temperatures were in the high 60's. But as you can see from everyone's clothing, it's winter now! Pictures of everything here.

As in the films , every think, every one, is in place...
Everything and everyone, sorry.
How wonderful you were able to catch that pink glow bathing everyone. The childrens' expressions are magical!
Oh Jenny! What an AWESOME, warm & fuzzy shot....reeeeeeeeeeeeeally makes me think about the holidays now...ahhhhhhhhhhh...to be standing there with gloves, holding a steaming cup of hot chocolate (with a little Bailey's I might add, LOL!)...on the arm of your someone special...just does it for me! And guess what!?! I'm starting your scarf this week! YAY! ;-)
Yes indeed, our theme for the month starts now. I've already taken my first test-shots in Lisbon & more tomorrow night. There is really no time like it, is there? I just love walking around the centre of the city through the next 5 weeks. It is very special here. We'll compare trees very soon......
