We only have one

And it's not even in the center of town - it's a mile or so past the shopping center, at the intersection of a very small side street - come to think of it I'm not sure why it's needed. Except I suppose every town needs one traffic light! If I were going to put one in, I'd put it where the school is, because the sight lines are poor there - it's hard to pull out into traffic on a busy morning.

Stayton, OR, has a whopping two full-fledged traffic lights. Both additions were big events. Fortunately they placed both of them in needed places. I hope Sharon gets one at the school. Safety for kids is very important.

Nice photo, by the way. I really like the angle.

History 101: had an ALMOST tragic accident years ago there..thus, the light was born....used also( I believe) to get south-bounders to kind of be wise that they are entering a town soon, and to start slowing down, which doesn't always work.. :(

Kool shot :)

You know something? That has made me realise with a quick mental survey that this town doesn't even have one set!
Maybe that's why the whole town was gridlocked this afternoon.

These days they are into roundabouts rather than traffic lights both in Australia and France...
Great shot; it wasn't an easy subject !
