Not a welcome one - notice the birdfeeder is empty. I'm sure this squirrel is the culprit. Of course, a guy's gotta eat, and the buffet outside my window is always open. He seems to coexist fairly peacefully with the titmice and nuthatches. A carolina wren has been visiting fairly often, but I haven't been able to photograph it - it's quite shy.

Terrific shot of the squirrel. First time I ever saw one was in England...not a familiar animal here, so I love this shot to see it 'up close'.
tres bon portrait de cet ecureuil, il est pas farouche.
Je te souhaite un bon weekend
very good portrait of this squirrel, it is not savage. I wish you a good weekend
It takes me back 2 years to using my 300mm lens from my sister's living room onto the birdfeeder on the tree by the window. I'd never got that close to the birds & grey squirrels there before. So I have particular appreciation of this guy's tail. Even if he's a villain.
The other remark is that I'm really staggered to see all that snow over there still in this week's pictures. It's now a totally alien phenomenon to me. No wonder you and others needed my spring pics more than I'd realised!
Hold on, it's coming!!xxx
I know many people here complain that the sqirrels eat the bird food but I don't think I would. They are so lovely and very acrobatic. Sadly our native red squirrel has been outnumbered by the grey squirrel.
A beautiful squirrel! I sympathize with you. Our birdfeeder attracts all kinds of robbers, namely rats!
