Waiting

It will be many months before these beachside swings are filled with laughing babies. In fact the babies that will inhabit them in August might not even be born yet! For now, they swing in the harsh March wind, which has been whipping particuarly meanly today, or they stand quietly, for months on end, until the air warms, the snows melt, and the children return.

I would never have believed this was beachside. You really do get a lot of snow there don't you.

Your snow looks much deeper and more persistent than ours in the city. (Which is no surprise, I guess.) I love the peacefulness of these shots, as well as the warmth in the shots of people and activities (like the "men at work").

Nice picture Jenny. I can't believe that's a beachside!! We don't get snow here :( and Ruth tells me she can't send any because it will melt on the plane. Are you any closer to me? can you send some? LOL
The picture brings peace and at the same time it brings sounds of a warm future still to come.
