bug on cosmos
It wouldn't be Sharon CT Daily Photo without the occasional picture of a big on a flower - in this case a bee (I think) on a Cosmos (I'm sure!)

Another pretty one!
It kind of looks like a fly to me, a bee mimic fly, because I only see 1 pair of wings (bees have 2 pair). you could try bugguide.net if you wanted to do some research...
