A Town father
This gentleman presides at the Sharon Historical Society. If one of my regular readers (Janet?) could supply his name I'd appreciate it as I forgot to note it down! Janet N. tells me that he is:
John Cotton Smith
b. 2/12/1765, d. 12/07/1845
Federalist
Governor of CT 1812-1817
Born and died in Sharon, CT

Hi, I have been browsing through, catching up on your posts, the icy snowy ones are amazing, and I ADORE the little wooden houses, so quaint, with a sort of storybook feel! I have often wanted to do that thing you did on this post with writing and putting a line through it. How do you do it?
Suzi, you just need to use a tiny bit of html. When you're doing your post, use the html edit screen instead of the compose screen. I can't write it out exactly here or it will show up as the text with a line through it, but you need to use the little greater-than and less-than bracket keys, which on my keyboard appear over the comma and period.
Write: open-bracket, s, close-bracket, then the text you want to hav ea line through it.
After the text, you put the open-bracket, a slash, s, close bracket.
It should look like this, without the extra spaces: < s > text text < / s >.
thanks SOOO much Jenny, can't wait to try it!
