OK, not really, but don't these remind you of Troffula trees? Here's another look at them.

Unknown said...: Stunning picture. Nice form and contrast. But I have to say this is just one of the way too many examples of the very weird over board compulsion to control nature. I recently spent several weeks along the east coast of Florida, and like these trees, everywhere I looked people were molding their version of perfect nature and in my opinion their expensive efforts were not even coming close to the natural beauty they were displacing. Every time I drive by these trees I feel uncomfortable, even embarrassed, about human impact and human needs to order nature. And to think, in all directions from that place, there are spectacular vistas of nature's unadorned beauty.; 8:55 AM
