Broken butterfly
What happens to a butterfly that is this shredded? Does it fail to migrate? Does it life a shorter lifespan? Or does it just carry on til winter comes?

Beautiful butterfly, remarkable it's survived this wing injury!
Wow. The end must be near. The wings are about gone. When they go it goes with them. He can't fly around to eat and that spells doom.
