Look all around you

pastoral, originally uploaded by jahansell.

Whenever I go up to Twin Oaks Field I make sure to look in all directions - it's beautiful no matter where you stand. A cloud was moving across the sun as I watched, leaving half the field in shadow and half illuminated.

Lovely shot, and I've now looked at all your Twin Oaks shots. So where is Twin Oaks? I shoot in Sharon all the time, have access to many of the local farms, but I don't know where this is.

In any case, you have a wonderful eye. I'll have to visit more often

Ted, there is a field, known locally as Twin Oaks Field, that you can see from Route 41 driving from Sharon north to Lakeville - about 2 miles north of the shopping center. Going north it's on your left. It's a wide mown hillside with two large oaks planted in it, and Mudge Pond beyond in the distance. A lovely view, best seen from the intersection of Route 41 and Long Pond Road (or just south thereof.) After seeing it only from that vantage point for several years, I drove around the back roads until I found the field itself and the path leading up to it. (Dug Road is the best way to get there from the main drag.)
