Open for Business!

Created with flickr slideshow from softsea.
This is the first time I've tried a slideshow like this - let me know how it works out! It doesn't seem to have included my comments about each photo, or title - too bad.

But the short version is - Sharon Farm Market is here - hooray!  I wandered its bright and colorful aisles, chatted with proprietor Joe Choi, who was very happy to be open for business, and ran into many friends and Sharon VIPS who were eager to see what there was to buy.  Fresh fish, local produce, gourmet items, and all the convenience items and mainstream brands were represented. The sushi bar isn't open yet, and the baked goods were thin, but the salty oat cookies (with chocolate chips, from Jam) were delicious. The man behind me in the checkout line teased me for how many chocolate items I'd bought - I assured him I'd bought LOTS of vegetables only yesterday... though he could see right through me, I'm sure.

This blog may go dark (again) for a while - one of the obstacles ot my posting has been ongoing computer problems and I've finally given up at trying to fix it myself - it's going back to Gateway for some unknown period of time. I'll be back, eventually!

Jenn...show opened and ran fine for me...pics with a show seem smaller than individuals would be my only neg...otherwise, nice pics (as usual) that tell a story...loved that Skip wasn't smiling. Some things never change. Perhaps now he'll really let'em fly after such a great start, and go play with one of his cars...I get along with the guy, but I just want to see him leave.

How about that - if you click on an individual photo in the slideshow, you will get the comment from it!

As an employee of the newly opened Sharon Farmer's Market, as well as a resident of the community, i couldn't be happier with the success of the Market.

Fresh, friendly, and local. Great prices as well. Please come try some of our offerings, and visit us for the grand opening this SATURDAY!!

-- Ok, personal plug aside, thanks for the fantastic slide show. You really captured the spirit of the Market.
