There was this one spot yesterday on a rise, just south of Millerton, where every tree was coated with ice. It was spectacular. Click through to Flickr to see another shot.
For all the times this year that ice was predicted, this is the first time we had a real accumulation of ice on branches and twigs - not to mention windshields, not to mention the road. I hope everyone made it home safe and sound tonight.
Pine Hill Farm in the rain - the colors are rich and saturated. I didn't poke around too much because I was afraid I'd get sucked down into the mud like the LaBrea Tar Pits!
Yesterday there was tremendous fog for a little while...when I stopped along Route 44 to take some pictures I couldn't stay long because trucks were careening by and it didn't feel safe. So I didn't quite get the shot I wanted, but you get the idea!
